Arcane Lineage Tier Lists
Power snapshots for classes, Super Classes, and races — written for parties, not thumbnail drama.
Tier lists in Arcane Lineage go stale the moment a patch retunes a Super Class, but players still need a starting rank. This hub splits the argument into three lists so a race roll and a weapon shop purchase are not mashed into one noisy table.
Use the class tier list when you are about to spend 50 gold. Use the Super Class list when you approach level 15. Use the race list when you decide whether a Lineage Shard is worth the wipe.
How these ranks are built
We rank for party Hard mode, not for isolated DPS dummy parses. A kit that needs a tank beside it can still be S. A kit that only looks good if you never miss yellow is not S. Criteria:
- Survival on a missed QTE
- Usefulness before Super Class
- Super Class ceiling
- Party utility (stun, blind, poison, heal, threat)
- How badly a mediocre race ruins the plan
If you play Legendary solo, shift every rank down one and then ignore the list. That mode is a different game.
Quick snapshot
Classes. Martial Artist and Warrior are the friendliest first picks because block passives forgive chip. Slayer and Thief win fights that last long enough for poison and blind. Wizard is the highest skill ceiling and the easiest way to feed a boss your only life.
Super Classes. Paladin and Monk are the “party lives” forks. Assassin and Necromancer are the “party wins faster” forks. Saint sits in the awkward middle where the name sounds holy and the spear still wants blood.
Races. We do not invent a fake S–F table of every lineage name. We rank roles: magic-leaning, body-leaning, and flexible. Your live odds belong on Trello. Ophimar and other seasonal lineages get called out when a patch makes them a real reroll target.
How to use a tier list without wrecking a run
- Learn yellow. The combat guide outranks every S-tier row.
- Pick a Base Class you will actually play for ten levels. The class picker shows the fork.
- Only then look at Super Class ranks.
- Only then spend a shard. A C-tier race with a matching class beats an S-tier race you rerolled into and then abandoned.
